Search is one kind of computer program which contain all kind of data around the internet into its database. And then its provide all kinds of data as the user demand. It is actually one kind of website or computer program. The charactristics of it is inquiring the data.

The first search engine was invented in the year of 1993 called “LYCOS”. It was a university based project. Actually it was not used as present world wide search engine like google, yahoo, bing etc. It was just the model of first search engine.

Then first fullfil search engine was created in the year of 1994 called “WEBCRAWLER”. It was the first professional and fully functioned seach engine of the world. And it was used as a world wide search engine.   Then “YAHOO” was invented at the same year at 1994.

In the year of 1995, a new search engine was invented called “ALTAVISTA”. And it was using by few years as a leading type of search engine around the world. But today it has lost its reputation. Cause, it is not used as other search engine. I think main fault of losing its popularity is not its own. The main fault was google(I mean that this kind of search engine like gogle can defeate other  search engine). Like this search engine all kind of seach engine can’t serve the user, can’t provide this huge amount of data, can’t achieved this kind of popularity.

Actually now present age “Google” is the most popular search engine around the world. It was invented in the year of 1998.

At present there are 3 major popular search engine in the world. These are Google, Yahoo and Bing. As a search engine google is used by 91% user of whole internet world. And 4% is used by yahoo and 3% is used by bing. By this statistics we can understand that the leading right upon the whole internet of Google.
